I had the opportunity to arrange an exhibition at the National Museum and House of Culture, in Dar Es Salaam, showing the paintings that were made in Tanzanian villages where land has been acquired by foreign agribusinesses. The paintings were made by local farmers, fishermen, and pastoralists, with instructions from the Tanzanian artist Joseph Mwalyombo.

The exhibition was highlighted in several news outlets, like the Daily News,  blogs, and TV outlets. See Michuzi Blog, and Michuzijr Blog, for more pictures and info about the event (in swahilii).

My research was highlighted in the Lund University Magazine (LUM), read the article online here. It is about using art for scientific research about socio-environmental change in the context of large-scale land acquisitions.
